Large-scale Ecological Restoration | Bringing back biodiversity in partnership with Farmers in Brazil

Why attend
Join the Black Jaguar Foundation in one of the largest reforestation projects on earth and together make a difference.
HideDescription
Deforestation has been increasing, despite Brazil’s leading environmental legislation, stating that every rural property must keep a percentage preserved. We incentivize farmers to actively engage in restoration while we provide technical and financial support. Together we create tailored restoration models for their degraded areas, including the possibility for agroforestry and sustainable timber. Compliance with the law is therefore no longer a burden, but an opportunity. This, next to restoration of crucial ecosystem services, and the thousands of local jobs generated, means the restoration can be an asset for the community. We developed a cycle of restoration focusing on 15 steps, spread across 4 key areas: Community, Science, Planting and Conservation. Allowing to 1) restore native biodiversity 2) create lasting ecosystems 3) provide positive economic and social impact.
